A parent opens their phone at ten at night and asks which maths course is trustworthy for their child. The same day a final-year student asks whether a data analysis certificate counts in hiring. Both may be circling the same institution, but their questions point opposite ways: the parent wants trust and supervision, the student a career return.
The assistant answers both. It can name the institution if the programme page carries syllabus items, contact hours, duration and a fee band. When all that sits behind "call us for details" the institution never enters the answer; the assistant describes one that shared its information.
Hiding the fee is a settled habit in education, meant to move the conversation onto the phone. It now costs not a lost form but an institution nobody sees. We make what the school has — syllabus, duration, staff, class size, fee range — readable and machine-parsable, and put no success claim on the page its records cannot verify. An inflated promise collapses in the first meeting and makes every other fact doubtful.

Course schema on programme pages
Every programme gets its own page carrying Course and CourseInstance: name, provider, learning mode, start date, duration, language. An assistant answering "how many weeks does it run" reads a structured field, not prose.
Syllabus, hours and fee band
Syllabus module by module, total contact hours and weekly load go into the page body. Where a school will not name an exact fee we give a range and the variables behind it: group or one-to-one, class size, instalments. "Call for information" is the line that drops you out.
Instructor profiles that verify
Each instructor gets a profile with name, title, education and the classes they teach, tied to the institution with Person schema. A verifiable external source — university page, professional register, publication list — goes in sameAs.
Graduate outcomes without inflation
Exam results, placement or employment figures are published only as far as the institution's records verify, with period and scope stated. Unsourced lines like "90% success" come out; in their place, how many students got which result in which term.
Online and classroom kept apart
Remote and classroom versions of a programme split into separate pages, the mode marked with courseMode. The differences — enrolment, access to recordings, live class times, attendance rules — go into a comparison section.
City and branch pages
Branches get a page each: address, transport, classroom count, programmes running there. Without branches we define the districts served in areaServed; we produce no empty city pages copying each other.
EducationalOrganizationStructured data for this sector
The main site carries EducationalOrganization: name, address, telephone, founding year, accreditation or Ministry of Education licence, and the sameAs list of social accounts. That is where an assistant finds "how long has this place run, is it officially licensed".
On programme pages Course ties back to the institution through provider. CourseInstance defines the concrete run: start date, learning mode, teaching language, location. A fee, where given, goes into offers with its currency.
The FAQ block is marked FAQPage, instructor pages join the institution with Person, and the path from programme list to programme is set with BreadcrumbList. Schema lets a machine read what the page already says, not invent what it does not; no field is filled without a counterpart in the text. CourseInstance records stay current for closed or filled programmes: one still circulating that no longer runs works against the institution.
What we measure
- Whether the institution is named when a programme and a city are asked together.
- Whether its page is cited on duration, fee band and syllabus questions.
- The number of programme pages whose Course and CourseInstance schema validates cleanly.
- Registration form and search behaviour of sessions arriving from AI assistants.
- Whether the answer given for the institution's name matches the real programme list, with nothing stale circulating.
- Whether the profile page surfaces when instructor names are searched.
Frequently asked questions
Fee is one of the most asked questions here, and an assistant prefers institutions that publish it, having something concrete to pass on. A range plus the variables behind it works too if you will not give an exact number. What costs you is silence.
Schema type and technical setup are similar, content is not. In a private school the parent decides: staff, safety, class size, transport, enrolment calendar. In a course centre the participant decides: duration, timetable flexibility, fee, career value. The two pages do not answer the same questions.
Publish only what your own records verify, stating period and scope. Instead of unmeasured lines like "most of our students find work", write how many people got which result in which term — more credible, and a fact an assistant can pass on. An unverifiable number does damage over time.
Remote and face-to-face teaching answer different questions. Someone after a remote programme asks about access to recordings, live class times and attendance rules; someone after a classroom programme asks about location and class size. One page telling both leaves both half answered, so we split them.
We commit to no fixed period. Schema setup and technical access work finish quickly; deepening the programme pages and being named regularly in assistant answers depends on existing content volume and seasonal demand. We set up measurement at the start and report progress periodically.
